What's up, Buttercup?

Been a crafty Sunday afternoon. Wooden bangle + embroidery thread= Tada!.
Things have been going well so far. I sold off 3 of my quote prints and I had gotten 2 customised orders for my jersey scarfs. On top of going to work 5 days a week, I have freelance shoots for my old company in the evenings, which I'm assuming will start to lessen once the Chinese New Year period is over.

There are still alot of projects I'd like to do and need to get done and places I'd like to see and visit, but they will all be in due time.

I had just watched Objectified by Gary Hustwit. The same guy who brought you Helvetica. I was amazed by the toothpick story. There are these objects we take for granted but we forget about the thoughts and ideas the people who made it, put into it. And the toothpick story just amazes me. Bring me a japanese toothpick and I will tell you that story if you have no idea what I am referring to.

I had finally ordered a DVD copy of Handmade Nation: The Rise of DIY, Art, Craft and Design and I can't wait til I have it in my hands. I read the book and I related so much more to this culture than I ever did with or in the music scene. I'm no rockstar and I'm more comfortable away from spotlights(cos they make you perspire and look like a sweaty pig on stage).

So, in conclusion to this entry. Things have been good and I hope it stays that way for months to come.

xoxo
