InstaArtists : A Crowdsourced Art Exhibition

I took part in a small exhibition featuring instagram photos. All we had to do was tag our photos according to theme. They picked 12 of my photos and they're on the walls at Shots Cafe at 90, Club Street. They are also on sale at the cafe for $35 and comes printed 12 x12cm and framed(frame size 25 x 25cm)

The family had lunch at this new "Marche restaurant concept" place called Medz which is at the basement of Orchard Central. All mediterranean or inspired food. Not too bad really. The Turkish line was longer than most and it was good. :)

Marina Bay Sands

How things change and build so fast, it only seemed like yesterday that we'd sit at Fullerton Starbucks late into the night til the chattering crowds died down and all was peaceful and Marina Bay Sands was only four stories high with towering cranes and bright floodlights and that's how my Mission Impossible parody came about and how Gojira came to play.

I shoot quite abit with my iphone more than any other camera, more so cos of its convenience. Whip it out of your pocket anytime and anywhere inconspicuosly. And then edit it on the spot with Photoshop Express and upload it onto Instagram and share it on Twitter or Facebook. I love the app to the point of addiction. Now, if only they could have it function with Blogspot as they do with Tumblr, then my blog would have more action like a ho outside Orchard Towers.

Djohan lent me his Yashica MF-2 super film camera to play with. I haven't shot film in 9 years since I went digital. I have to say there is excitement in not knowing what your shot will look like. He didn't know if his camera worked and I didn't know if I had put the film in correctly. But I'd say it works just fine. So these are are some shots from roll #1.

I'd always been fascinated with photo montages. It all started when I did my thesis on David Hockney years ago when I was still in school(and we all know that was eons ago). Shot with a 28mm lens.
