Believe without doubt.

You know, I was just getting into the groove of things. I did this just few hours after I was done with the first(previous entry). It's just really therapeutic. Almost mindless but not. 

Eversince the year started, the one resolution I made was to MAKE MORE ART. And I stand attest to that. I have been. I try with my busy schedule. In recent weeks, it's almost become an anxiety. A need to do something when I get home from work. I should be sleeping. The spark is there and I should take action. I used to always say that "I don't have the time etc, etc" and my conscience replies "Make Time." I just have to keep moving to keep this flow going. Hard work always pays off eventually, right?

Be (silently) Brave, Not Sorry.

I just downloaded the blogger app for the iPhone. I admit, I do everything with my iphone. Especially so, cos I don't have a mac at home. Well, I do. The ol' powerbook G4. But I only use it for emergency work.

Anyway, it'll be easier to update from now on. I drew this last night. Its about having the quiet determination to do certain things so you won't regret not doing them.

I will not give up

It's been a rough couple of weeks at work, what with the long hours and constant stare downs with the mac screen. I try to fit in a drawing or two when I can or when I'm inspired to. And sometimes, they're quick processes cos i think about it when I'm on the journey home and get right down to it once I do reach home. Drawing, like walking (yes, I like walking) is very therapeutic for me.

Anyhoo, I drew this in an hour or so. Mainly to make my stand that eventhough, I feel like I might just break at work, I will not give up.

I was commissioned to do an A3 piece with custom text which was a line from a song by an old local band, Surreal and also derived from a psalm in the bible.

I recently did a series of 4 posters for a nice lady from New York for her to hang in her classroom. They took quite awhile for me to do, especially since it was in A2 size. I must say, that I really (x infinity) need a proper workspace (aka throw away a lot of stuff and get a table.)

Worked on this A2 piece over the weekend. Its one of four drawings that I was commissioned to do for a lady from NYC. Pretty pleased with how it turned out. Although I really should get a drawing table, cos working in bed is bad for my already problematic back.

I have been invited to be a part of two group exhibitions coming up. It'll be my first in a really long while that isn't photography related. Good things are happening and I feel blessed. And I'm getting more and more inspired by the things around me.

Sticker project

I've been bitten by the creative bug that lately I've had an insane urge to create. The itch had to be scratched. And I decided to do a personal sticker project. Using lines of encouragement or confessions, whichever I felt could relate to me in a way cos I take pride in being "personal". I made enough stickers to start my very own sticker party(not!), and went on to spread these words around. I am still in the process of making more. I've been thinking of a new series of posters as well and I just might have them painted on canvas as I still have plenty untouched from my last purchase from a closing down sale. I like this creative streak and I hope it lasts longer.
